I decided to blog this one in purple as a tribute to one of my favorite cosmetic brands out there - Urban Decay! Highly acclaimed product - one of Urban Decay's Best Sellers! Ever wondered why eyeshadow colors appear so vibrant and true to shade on people? Well, it's not because they were born with perfect eyelids. More than likely, they are using a primer or eyeshadow base of some sort. And there is a very high chance that they are using Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion - famously known as UDPP and Best of Sephora's 2008 Winner! Packaged in a precious, genie-like bottle, Eyeshadow Primer Potion is an ultra-sheer, totally nude eye base that glides on with the wave of a wand and then disappears instantly. The genie fulfills 3 wishes: eyeshadow that lasts, more vibrant and lasting color, and absolutely NO creasing! This is my all-time favorite product, and I can't say enough how everyone needs to have an eyeshadow primer or base of some sort. Important Note: Apply only a dot of it on each eyelid, and spread the product all over your eyelid. I always hear people say a little goes a long way...and this one does. And to maximize the product in the cute but odd shaped bottle, you have to cut the bottle open on the top and the bottom and scoop out every bit of the product that is left inside the bottle.

I picked this set because of the color combination. The Deluxe Shadow Box features 9 velvety pigment-rich Deluxe Eyeshadows (the deluxe shadows are their more expensive shadows) ranging from bold brights to classic neutrals. And to top it off, they also included a tiny bottle of the tried and tested UDPP. Very good value. I am also very attracted to its gorgeous compact packaging - luxe purple faux suede and decorative shiny silver mesh window - Totally Glam!
